Kids Feeding Kids-2019
Kids Feeding Kids has set an ambitious goal to pack 357,000 meals on April 26 & 27 at The Gathering Place, Gardner Village. Address: 1100 West 7800 South, West Jordan, UT.
With this large increase in meals we need to raise $78,000 and have 1650 volunteers packing. There will be shifts both Friday and Saturday. As in the past, only children 5 years of age and above may participate.
Last year through the generosity of our community we were able to pack 271,072 meals which were shipped within 2 weeks of leaving Utah to The Risen Savior Mission in the Philippines. This pack fed 744 starving children a meal for an entire year.
The food our community purchases and packs provides not only nourishment but hope to children and their families. We are feeding children that do not enjoy the luxury of a free school breakfast, lunch, or backpack of meals supplied for the weekends. Often these meals make the difference between a child living or dying. We have been very blessed that the Salt Lake community shares in our desire to feed these kiddos!
